No Changes to Poland Shipments — De Minimis Rules Only Affect U.S. Imports What the 2025 U.S. Customs Update Really Means
Dear Customer,
We want to clear up some confusion regarding the 2025 changes to U.S. customs rules suspending the $800 duty-free de minimis threshold for all countries. These changes only affect imports into the United States.
Please note:
✅There have been no recent changes to exports from the U.S. to Poland.
✅Your shipments from Polonez America to Poland remain unchanged.
Most importantly:
🎁Gifts shipped to Poland remain duty-free up to a value of €45.
This is the current duty-free threshold set by Polish customs. If the declared value of a gift shipment stays under €45, the recipient in Poland should not have to pay any customs duties or taxes.
If your shipment exceeds that amount, it may be subject to additional customs fees or VAT, in accordance with Polish import regulations.
For those shipping to the United States, please note:
📦As of 2025, the U.S. allows duty-free import of personal gifts valued up to $100 (previously $800)
📦This applies only to gifts from one individual to another, and not for commercial shipments.
🛃This change does not affect shipments going to Poland or Europe
We hope this clears things up! If you have any questions, our customer service team is always happy to help.
Warm regards,
The Polonez America Team
